The Podcast: Discussing family systems, trauma, treatment, and recovery.
I've only done one podcast over the past 5 years. It was unscripted and remains unedited. Many people have reached out to share how helpful it's been for them so I thought I'd share it here.
You can’t tell the truth when you are lying to yourself. Truth right there. I always say, the worst lies we tell are the ones we tell ourselves.
Your truth is an important part of this time of sharing and publicizing of these private stories. I feel it’s a smart person who can understand frailty of human nature, and that there’s 3 sides/truth to relationship breakdowns. Big or small. There’s yours/mine/and the truth. I believe it’s important because you are so much more than what is shared, and frankly so is Jen. Life is way more than what can be writtten in a book like this.
I wish for grace, and peace for you both and all of your loved ones, there are years to come of sharing moments.
Brandon, I've only watched the first part of this so far, but I just wanted to say thank you. Especially for everything you shared about trauma and creative therapy. It's really helpful perspective for some things I've been going through.
